A leading resources client is seeking mid and senior level Data Engineers for multiple permanent roles based in the Perth CBD.
Responsibilities include:
- The design and development of bigdata systems
- Programming in languages including Java, Scala, Shell, SQL and Python
- Act as SME and liaise with stakeholders
Key experience:
- Proven experience in the design and development of bigdata systems
- Technical experience in areas including:
- Java, Scala, SQL, NoSQL, Shell scripting & Spark
- Spring Boot & Akka
- Python, JavaScript& Kotlin
- Git, Docker, Redis, CI/CD
- Cloud based infrastructure - (especially AWS)
- Lambda, Cloudwatch, Cloudformation, S3, SQS, SNS, Athena, Glue, ECR, CodePipeline, CodeBuild
- Programming skills for external data ingestion, stream processing, storage optimisation, advanced analysis and reporting applications in at least one public cloud
- General architecture acumen including Database architecture, ETL, Data warehousing, SOA & Cloud
