Seeking an experienced Data Analyst with Power BI knowledge for a 12-month contract within a large government department

Responsibilities

  • perform administrative, technical and customising tasks in the data environment
  • support and assist with the data management process including loading, creating, maintaining, and distributing data
  • provide input to the development of data standards and strategy for the solution
  • conduct audits to ensure data quality
  • detect data inconsistencies and utilise defined error-handling procedures
  • resolve data integration issue related to data in their area of expertise
  • ensure the alignment of business data requirements with the enterprise application
  • assist with establishing and maintaining data business rules and security specifications
  • help establish data retention criteria
  • prepare correspondence such as reports, corporate and technical documentation
  • provide broad data modelling support for project build, test and implementation activities
  • assist with the design of documented data modelling solutions
  • contribute to the development and implementation of improvements and best practice

Required Skills & Experience

  • Data Analytics
  • Requirements definition and management
  • Data modelling and design
  • Building and maintaining lists, filters, integrated elements in SharePoint
  • Excellence in using, and assisting others to use tools such as MS Teams, SharePoint, JIRA, Excel Power BI and/or similar
  • Ability to present data in a meaningful, modern and interactive manner, that draws the reader to relevant, significant and important points Qualifications
  • Qualifications in Computer Sciences, Data Management or other relevant qualifications will be highly considered
