Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Test Analyst/Test Engineer.

This is a long-term contract up to 30 June 2023 with 1x12-month extension option, located at our Client's Canberra location.

Candidates for this role must demonstrate:

  • Application of knowledge of project and programme management frameworks
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to adapt communication style appropriate to the audience.
  • The ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to ensure that all test effort activities are effectively completed and carried out in accordance with agreed test guidelines.
  • The ability to research and make decisions based on sound judgement, expertise and knowledge.
  • The ability to manage and organise their work in the context of competing priorities, including contributing to business planning, changes in workplace practices and innovative improvement strategies.

Key Tasks/Duties:

  • Manage the timely delivery of testing outcomes and the quality of testing processes, including assisting with undertaking test effort estimation and managing resources to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Provide subject matter expertise/in depth technical analysis to ensure the ICT Servicefunctions are as per requirements whilst monitoring, reporting on progress of testing activities and managing time and effort to ensure test cases are running to project schedule and escalate any issues throughout the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Collaborate and work closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve quality project outcomes by assisting with the management of test plans and schedules for each release.
  • Contribute to team improvement initiatives and projects, including team tools, process changes, test automation and assist with defining requirements for the test environments.

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Demonstrate strong research, analysis, creativity, problem solving and lateral thinking to identify and develop innovative approaches and draw accurate conclusions based on evidence.
  • Ability to create and execute complex test cases on appropriate testing platforms using own in-depth technical analysis of specifications.
  • Hold a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance at a minimum for the duration ofthe contract.

It is desirable if you have:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to communicate security
  • Demonstrated experience within complex ICT environments.
  • concepts to non-technical audiences both verbally and in writing.
  • Set-up, configuration and use of test tools such as ALM/Quality Center or equivalent
  • for assigned initiatives and projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in federal government.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining automated testing

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian who have a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance.
