About the role:

This is a 12-month contract.

The role is based in Parramatta with a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Manage the planning and delivery of projects
  • Develop and implement project management plans to ensure the success of the project
  • Regularly communicate with key stakeholders to ensure project outcomes are met
  • Manage project resources to ensure business objectives are achieved on time and within budget
  • Monitor progress of the projects including risks, issues, dependencies and benefits
  • Manage and monitor project budget and expenditure
  • Complete mandatory project documentation and fulfil record and reporting requirements for the projects
  • Participate/facilitate procurement tender process and activities
  • Implementing process improvements within the project where necessary
  • Overseeing and maintaining detailed and up-to-date incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Project closure

Skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex a wide range of information technology projects, telecommunication, infrastructure, network, software, decommissioning, cloud computing, managed service outsourcing and tendering
  • Experience working with methodologies like Agile or PRINCE 2
  • Ability to successfully prioritise, manage and deliver upon multiple streams of work
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining positive relationships with internal/external stakeholders
  • Experience working independently with multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • You are self-motivated, decisive and can easily adapt to change and competing demands
  • The ability to effectively collate, analyse and represent information received from varied sources
  • Confidence leading a diverse team and project delivery resources
  • High level of management skills including the ability to lead, plan and mentor to produce high standards of results on budget within tight timeframes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly relevant in translating technical information to non-technical peers and stakeholders
  • Ability to have honest and open conversation with the Program Manager regarding the project progress and personal shortcomings
