About the role

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join our client's IT partners to deliver the Student Mobility System Project. This is a 6 months fixed-term contract role with possibility of extension.

The Business Analyst is required for conducting the end-to-end methodical investigation, analysis, review, and documentation of business requirements, in order to validate and support the design, build and testing of the Student Mobility system.

Responsibilities

Work closely with project stakeholders to complete the following project tasks:

  1. Understand business requirements, Work with business and IT partners to validate the solutions.
  2. Validate existing processes, identifying new business requirements (functional requirements expressed via Use Case, reporting, non-functional, transitional)
  3. Support the implementation of across our project and technology business units.
  4. Collaborate with project stakeholders at all levels in determining project strategy assessments, requirements specifications and feasibility studies.
  5. Develop functional specifications within user requirements and promote clear direction to ensure effective design documentation is developed.
  6. Translate user requirements into user cases, models and diagrams that help develop concise documentation and testable requirements.
  7. Ensures user requirements, functional specifications and traceability matrices are kept accurate and up to date throughout the project lifecycle, including design, development, and delivery.
  8. Participate in the development of test strategies, test plans and test cases.
  9. Participate in change activities and adopt new ways of working to support organisational changes required to create and sustain IT and student experience enhancement technology capabilities.

Skills and experience

  1. Strong process mapping skills
  2. Experienced in using business analysis techniques such as use cases, scenarios, prototyping, business rules analysis, non-functional requirements analysis, problem tracking workshops and others.
  3. Experience in writing unambiguous, verified requirements and convert to a testable level (Functional and non-functional).
  4. Experience in the development of test strategies, test plans, test cases and test execution would be highly regarded.
  5. Experience working with structured project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile and or hybrid models would be highly regarded.
  6. Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
  7. Previous experience with Student mobility implementation project would be an advantage.
