Azure Data Engineer
- Initial 6 month contract with chance to extend
- Work for a global mining client in the Perth CBD
- Azure, Microsoft stack & Agile Methodology required
A leading global mining client based in the heart of the Perth CBD is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to work on a new program of work within an Agile Methodology delivery environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and development of large-scale Data Warehousing solutions and the sourcing, transferring and manipulation of data
- Development of changes to SQL Server database objects, SSIS packages, SSAS Multi-dimensional cubes, unit test libraries, C# .NET windows services, Azure ADF pipelines, PowerShell scripts and CI/CD processes
- Design and development of Power BI dashboards
- Technical documentation of scripts, transformations and processes
Key skills:
- Commercial data engineering experience with the Microsoft Data Stack environment including Azure Cloud, ADF, Azure SQL, Data Lake, Data Bricks, Synapse, AAS and Power Platform
- Experience working with the MS BI stack including SSIS, SSAS and SQL highly regarded
- Must have experience working in enterprise level scale environments
- Agile Methodology experience
- Previous experience working with modern coding practices such as continuous integration and deployment & automated testing
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work in a global team environment
Desirable:
- Previous experience working within the mining industry would be favourable
