Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Senior Information Analyst.
This is a long-term contract role with an initial contract duration of 12 months with the possibility of a 12-month extension for up to 2 times, located on-site at our client's office in the ACT. Working arrangements are 5 days a week.
As the selected Senior Information Analyst, you will:
- Design and develop data infrastructure, interactive analytic tools, and dashboards to inform compliance and enforcement activities.
- Analyze, write, and troubleshoot complex optimized SQL queries.
- Assist support teams to address current and future reporting and analysis needs.
- Develop relevant technical documentation.
- Assist in establishing the CISC's data management and governance framework.
- Actively participate in implementing and promoting change and continuous improvement.
- Communicate and make balanced decisions using professional judgment.
- Build productive working relationships with stakeholders across the department and government agencies.
- Be responsible for creating accurate records following departmental policies.
To be successful in this role you should have:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience working in a similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, quality standards, and deliver fit-for-purpose services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing high-quality reports and presentations.
- Experience working in complex and dynamic environments across various projects.
- Ability to transfer skills and knowledge to APS staff.
It is desirable if you have:
- The ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Experience developing strong stakeholder relationships.
- The ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with a minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance (or ability to obtain).
