Role Overview:

You will lead the ICT procurement project for the department's key ICT managed service arrangement. This role requires a strong understanding of modern technology requirements, project management methodology and experience with managing the procurement of a large ICT managed service multi-year contract through to commencement.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the ICT procurement for the departments key ICT managed service arrangement
  • Develop and deliver an ICT procurement category improvement for the department.
  • Manage and coordinate contract award and management, along with contract close-out and transition for the ICT category.
  • Provide procurement services to the agency ensuring alignment with the whole-of-government and departmental procurement policy, procedures and guidelines.
  • Promote a continuous improvement philosophy by maintaining an in-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, markets and vendor conditions, seizing emerging opportunities to achieve improved outcomes

Key Skills Required:

  • A strong background in ICT procurement and contract management
  • Experience in QITC framework will be an added advantage
  • Proven experience in managed procurement processes of large strategic procurements including requirements gathering, to deliver high value managed IT service contracts
  • Strong knowledge of modern technology requirements and managed service arrangement
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and demonstrated project management experience is highly desirable
