Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Senior Cognitive Technical Lead.
As a Senior Cognitive Technical Lead, you will be critical to the ongoing research and development of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) techniques such as machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP) and automation to support administration within the agency. The Senior Cognitive Technical lead provides Machine Learning technical advice on AI/ML matters.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Provide machine learning expertise and technical advice on AI/ML matters.
- Train various machine learning algorithms with prepared datasets.
- Develop and run data query scripts to analyze and model data.
- Identify data patterns and build unit testing for data queries.
- Collaborate with internal and external researchers on machine learning projects.
- Work in an Agile environment using Scrum methodology.
- Maintain strong relationships within the team and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Drive the technical execution of projects with stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Demonstrated machine learning technical expertise with tangible results.
- Hands-on experience training various machine learning algorithms.
- Advanced data analysis and modelling experience.
- Experience working with external vendors and researchers.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
It is desirable if you have:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to learn quickly.
- Scrum Master experience.
- Formal degree in ICT & Big Data (Hadoop) experience.
This is a long-term contract role with an initial contract duration of 12 months with the possibility of 2 extensions of 12 months each, located in ACT or NSW. The Client supports flexible working arrangements, however, ACT employees are expected to work 2-3 days on-site.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with a minimum Baseline AGSVA security clearance.
