The SAP Fiori and UI Developer has strong background in developing user interfaces (UI) for SAP applications using Fiori design principles and technologies. This role will involve designing, developing, and implementing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the user experience and streamline business processes within the SAP environment Fiori and applications. This role works closely with functional analysts, technical analysts, business process owners, architects, to effectively analyse, design, document, develop effective, efficient reliable code across the SAP and related systems internal and external interfaces. While continually seeking to improve and maintain (future proofing) the SAP ERP Platform.
- Design, develop, and customise SAP Fiori applications based on business requirements and Fiori design guidelines.
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand user needs and translate them into effective UI designs and workflows.
- Develop and maintain SAPUI5 applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
- Implement responsive and cross-browser compatible UI designs for various devices and screen sizes.
- Utilise SAP Fiori Elements to rapidly create Fiori applications with consistent design and functionality.
- Integrate SAP Fiori applications with backend SAP systems.
- Oversee and assist with UI5 version upgrades as needed to ensure system stability and security.
- Conduct unit testing and support system integration testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to UI development and Fiori application performance.
- Stay updated on the latest SAP Fiori and UI5 trends, best practices, and technologies to continuously improve development processes and deliver innovative solutions.
Competencies and Skill Level:
- Proven experience as an SAP Fiori and UI Developer
- Strong proficiency in SAPUI5, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with SAP Fiori design principles, Fiori Elements, and Fiori Launchpad configuration.
- Knowledge of SAP Gateway services, OData protocols, and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with SAP ABAP development and debugging techniques is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, or a related discipline, and training and certifications in one or more of the following: Solution Architecture of SAP systems, Service Oriented Architecture, SAP PI/XI, SAP ABAP and at least one other major programming language - e.g. Java.
- SAP Fiori certification(s) is desirable but not required.
- Functional understanding and basic configuration capability and experience in at least one SAP application module - e.g. SAP HCM, Payroll.
- Experience and certification with industry standard support methodologies such as ITIL/ITSM.
