Our Federal Government Client is seeking multiple Procurement and Contract Specialists.

This is a contract role with an initial contract duration until 30 June 2025, with the possibility of extension, located at our client's office in Barton, ACT 2600.

As the selected candidate, you will:

  • Monitor and manage procurement activities, providing advice and support for basic to complex procurement.
  • Assist in the preparation of procurement approval documentation, including Approvals to Approach the Market, Evaluation Outcomes, Approvals to commit funds, and enter into Arrangements.
  • Administer tender documentation through AusTender and DTA.
  • Manage corporate document management and filing, as well as mailbox management.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers, monitor contracts, and manage extension or renewal of contracts and contract close-out.
  • Create and manage supplier contracts and purchase orders within SAP, ensuring compliance with finance policy.
  • Manage contractor access to time sheeting portal and end of month processing.
  • Manage security assets and logistics, including coordination of scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance.
  • Manage work in the Security Support and ensure timely and accurate equipment data is held in Our Security database.
  • Problem-solve contract-related issues and provide policy advice in relation to compliance with relevant Australian Government legislation, rules, and policies.
  • Prepare and manage Government contracts and handle invoice management.

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Four years' experience working within Government Procurement.
  • Thorough understanding of the PGPA Act for complex procurements.
  • Complex contract management experience, with knowledge of CCS.
  • Experience providing oversight of public sector procurement activities.
  • Ability to undertake analysis of suppliers, markets, products, and service categories to inform procurement planning.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual or within a team environment.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision.

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with NV1 clearance.
