Our Federal Government Client is looking for an ETL and SAS Coding Developer.
The Deliverables for the ETL and SAS Coding Developer include, but are not limited to the following:
- Extensive knowledge in Database technologies, preferable Oracle and related RDBMS. Advantage to have PL/SQL knowledge.
- Desirable experience in IBM LSF, Control-M or related scheduling Tools.
- Provide the technical design, implementation, testing, and compliance for identified solutions.
- Design and implement ETL scripts and data warehouse solutions.
- Collaborate on warehouse and reporting design, and work with business teams to understand business process.
- Ensure quality standards are adhered to during development and implementation in conjunction with the development team.
- Document the architectural design and production support processes in relevant artefacts.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the overall application architecture and ensure that this understanding is conveyed to and maintained current with all team members.
- Interpret the technical specifications of Solutions.
- Ensure that security, auditability and data integrity issues are covered in the design of the application, and recommend changes to development and system standards.
- Provide guidance and direction to other developers on application standards and use of development tools.
- Ensure processes are in place to control development quality. This includes responsibility for thorough and comprehensive unit and system testing.
- Work with the Data Warehouse Production Team for job migration, optimisation and scheduling.
- Coordinate handover and production scheduling and validation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in IT; or equivalent experience.

The role has on an initial 10-month contract with two (2) possible 12-month contract extension options. The services can be performed in either the Client's Canberra or Brisbane office and the selected resource must be open to report on site a minimum of 3 days per week.
Candidates must be Australian citizens who hold active AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance.
