Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Technical Business Analyst (EL1).

This is a long-term contract role with an initial contract duration of 12 months and an extension term of 12 months, located at our client's offices in ACT, NSW, QLD, VIC, WA. Working arrangements are subject to negotiations with line managers, with hybrid working arrangements available in line with current policy (minimum of 3 days each week in the office, with flexible arrangements for the remaining 2 days).

As the selected candidate, you will:

  • Assist in the delivery of diverse and varied projects centered around a large-scale digital transformation.
  • Capture requirements and support the team in documenting solutions, processes, and technical details.
  • Build relationships and demonstrate business acumen to support the team in delivering positive outcomes for the agency.

To be successful in this role you should have: Essential Criteria:

  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role performing business analysis activities, including workshop facilitation and supporting the successful delivery of high-impact initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical SMEs to define business needs, technical constraints, and concepts in simple terms.
  • Desire and ability to quickly learn and understand technical concepts to engage technical teams and deliver accurate documentation.
  • Proven experience (at least 3 years) in a role relating to cloud platforms, preferably Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, including the delivery of new services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders and work in a team environment to cultivate productive relationships.
  • Ability to use initiative and self-drive to meet demanding deadlines, with self-management skills and adaptability.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in working with diverse project teams to deploy complex, integrated technologies and effect business change.
  • Flexibility to adapt to agile and waterfall processes to deliver projects.
