Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Business Objects (BOBJ) System Administrator!



This is a long-term contract role of until 30 June 2025 with a 12-month extension option, located full-time in Canberra, ACT.



As the selected candidate, you will:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform (BOBJ) architecture.
  • Provide day-to-day support, including maintenance, system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of BOBJ environments.
  • Perform BOBJ administration tasks, including security access maintenance and enhancements.
  • Offer technical support to developers and end users on the full BOBJ product stack.
  • Develop and maintain operational and process documentation.
  • Create innovative solutions and improve standard processes within the department.
  • Transfer knowledge and regularly communicate with team members.



To be successful in this role you should have:

  • At least 7+ years of experience with:
    • BOBJ administration (installation, patching, and upgrades)
    • BOBJ security, infrastructure design, and solutions
    • SAP BusinessObjects best practice standards, frameworks, and configurations
  • At least 5 years of experience with the following tools:
    • Web Intelligence
    • Information Design Tool and/or Universe Design Tool
    • Crystal Reports 2016 and/or Crystal Reports for Enterprise
  • Experience with the following tools (desirable):
    • BIP 4.2
    • 4.3+ (in the last 3 years)
    • Load Balancer (Apache24 or F5)
    • Java
  • SAP BO Certified Professional (essential)



It is desirable if you have:

  • Ability to interact and work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to transfer skills/mentor junior team members.
  • Highly written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of network and Windows operating system.



Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with a the ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance prior to commencement.
