About the role
We have an exclusive permanent Wintel Engineer/Server support position with our client. This role provides enough work flexibility and the candidate can be based at any of the major cities in Australia. The ideal candidate is someone with NV1/NV2 clearance
The Server Support Engineer will be joining a high performing system support team to support our Defence Portfolio in Sydney. You will be part of the Compute team, a dispersed within our Defence Portfolio. The role will be working as a day hand, responding to urgent Microsoft Tech issues and resolve and/or provide workarounds to incidents raised by customers.
Skills and experience
Microsoft Technologies (MS Server 2016 and Win10)
Storage solutions such as NetApp SAN.
Citrix XenApp and Xendesktop application virtualisation technologies;
Thin client Operating System deployment;
Basic Network fault finding;
Email Clients (Outlook and Lotus Notes);
Highly developed experience and skills with:
Proven knowledge of ITIL Principles (ITIL V3 Foundation);
Demonstrated ability to apply sound research, interpretation and problem solving skills;
Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills;
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritise.
