Our high-profile Federal Government Client is seeking the services of an experienced and proficient Test Specialist for a long-term contract role. This is an initial 12-month engagement, with long-term extension options and is working from our Client's offices in the Parliamentary Triangle.
Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens who currently hold or are able to obtain an AGSVA NV2 clearance to apply.
Within this role you will be applying both business and functional knowledge, to develop end-to-end testing strategies. You will develop quality processes and methodologies, with growing complexity and creativity in design, by thinking outside the box to determine the best way a test can be performed.
Within this role you will be responsible for:
- Defining, documenting and obtaining approval for Test strategy and plans, including objectives, overall phasing and testing methodology and standards
- Defining and tracking test metrics, including code coverage, quality and performance
- Managing the execution of testing efforts; including meeting committed delivery dates for released and soon to be released applications and components
- Reviewing the development process to ensure that defect tracking (identification, fixing, retesting and migration defects) is properly addressed. If not, define the defect tracking process and incorporate it into the overall development process.
- Facilitating structured walk-throughs, user acceptance testing and peer reviews
- Coordinating and execute regression testing, test automation, performance testing, functionality and usability testing
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in:
- Coordinating and executing regression testing, Test automation, Performance testing, Functionality and usability testing
- Planning and executing test scripts and scenario and developing test plans and entry/exit criteria.
- At least three years' experience in testing IT packages
- Solid understanding of application development lifecycle processes using Agile methodologies
- Strong IT skills to deliver outcomes that achieve a high customer experience
