We are looking to hire an experienced Business Analyst for one of our premier clients. This role plays an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that goals and objectives of new business development requests are accomplished within prescribed time frames. The incumbent must consistently aim to deliver quality services and/or solutions that meet business requirements and ensure that goals are accomplished in line with business objectives.

This role has the following principal accountabilities:

  • Provide business analytical and programming services to develop business
  • solutions, reporting tools, prototypes and POCs
  • Manage the business requirements by listing the information inputs required and
  • escalating gaps and issues
  • Identifying unique country-specific issues and developing solutions by way of
  • changes needed to business processes or via tool functionality
  • Conduct and oversee User Acceptance Testing on new and modified applications
  • to ensure they meet the business requirements both functionally and technically
  • Coordinate and manage the implementation of the tools in various branches
  • throughout Australia and the wider APAC region
  • Assist in developing the application training materials
  • Assist in delivering the training to users
  • Write detailed documentation of the tools to ensure maintenance support is
  • facilitated on completion and handover

The successful applicant must have:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst - Ideally strong Insurance or Financial Service sector exp
  • Insurance products and systems
  • Insurance underwriting and claims practices, including processes and methodologies
  • Advanced programming skills using Visual Basic or other programming languages
  • Advanced skills in SQL
  • Experience with Qlikview is highly desirable
  • Ability to successfully interact at all levels with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work with the business to interpret business requirements
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience with project management methodologies
  • Must have excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
