We are looking to hire an experienced Business Analyst for one of our premier clients. This role plays an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that goals and objectives of new business development requests are accomplished within prescribed time frames. The incumbent must consistently aim to deliver quality services and/or solutions that meet business requirements and ensure that goals are accomplished in line with business objectives.
This role has the following principal accountabilities:
- Provide business analytical and programming services to develop business
- solutions, reporting tools, prototypes and POCs
- Manage the business requirements by listing the information inputs required and
- escalating gaps and issues
- Identifying unique country-specific issues and developing solutions by way of
- changes needed to business processes or via tool functionality
- Conduct and oversee User Acceptance Testing on new and modified applications
- to ensure they meet the business requirements both functionally and technically
- Coordinate and manage the implementation of the tools in various branches
- throughout Australia and the wider APAC region
- Assist in developing the application training materials
- Assist in delivering the training to users
- Write detailed documentation of the tools to ensure maintenance support is
- facilitated on completion and handover
The successful applicant must have:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst - Ideally strong Insurance or Financial Service sector exp
- Insurance products and systems
- Insurance underwriting and claims practices, including processes and methodologies
- Advanced programming skills using Visual Basic or other programming languages
- Advanced skills in SQL
- Experience with Qlikview is highly desirable
- Ability to successfully interact at all levels with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work with the business to interpret business requirements
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Experience with project management methodologies
- Must have excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
