Our IT Consulting company is seeking a Software Tester to undertake Quality Assurance activities for the a federal government's System Redevelopment Project.
This is a long-term contract for 6 months with extension options, located at our Client's Canberra location.
The project aims to upgrade a bespoke legacy system to an Azure Cloud Native Architecture. The role requires a System Tester to work in a small Agile team to ensure system features are of the highest quality, before User Acceptance Testing is undertaken. The project includes a data migration activity, quality assurance of data integrity and feature quality and coverage are key to the success of the project.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Ability to analyse system specifications with the Business Analyst to ensure acceptance criteria is detailed, accurate and testable.
- Be able to prepare and execute detailed test cases.
- Ability to document system defects, with detailed and accurate steps to re-produce them.
- Ability to work as a system tester in Agile Projects.
- Be able to create test data and manage defect tracking.
- Prepare test outcome reporting and estimate testing effort and timeframes against product backlog items (PBI's).
- Ability to test data integrity.
- Ability to work closely with developers, business analysts and project managers And also to work under limited supervision, managing personal workloads and deadlines.
It is desirable if you have:
- Experience in the use of Azure Devop's.
- Experience in the creation of automated regression test scripts.
- Experience in testing system performance against documented benchmarks.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens who have an existing Baseline security clearance.
