Our client is a leading established and reputable brand that makes and distributes software solutions for a rapid changing retail world. They provide a complete process & system solution covering all areas of the business from accounting solutions through to sales, CRM and much more. Evolving from a very traditional of on-premises solution, transitioning to a more modern and essential web/mobile solution. To aid their transformation they need to hire a team of people. Initial contracts will be for 12 months, the project is in infancy and is expected to run for approximately 24-48 months.
Skills & attributes required:
- Actively participate in various test phases including but not limited to system testing, unit testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing
- Work toward reducing the number of reported software defects
- Create, maintain, and manage the library of existing and new test plans, test scripts, test scenarios, test cases
- Update project details, test results and task statuses in JIRA
- Setup required test data
- Work on automated test processes in order to gain efficiency and test throughput
- Report, track, investigate and manage defects to closure
- Report on test results to team leader, development coordinator, developers, and business analysts
- Lead, mentor and train junior peers and other team members when required
- Liaise with development coordinator, team leader, release coordinator, business analysts, project manager, developers, documentation, and support teams
- Actively participate in team meetings
- Accurate time keeping using Revolution's internal time tracking attendance systems
Essential Skills
- University / IT Qualification
- 3 years' minimum experience in packaged software testing
- Experience in the testing of both PC and web-based software solutions and Android & Apple mobile Apps
- Experience in Collaborative Projects
- Change Management experience
- Proficient in the use of MS Office products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Need to be proficient in written and spoken English
- Organised and attention to detail
- Effective communicator with the ability to work with various stakeholders to achieve business goals
Highly Regarded
- Knowledge of the Postman and/or SoapUI
- Experience in API testing
- Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Experience in management and use of automated software testing solutions
- Some experience in Automotive, Marine or Motorcycle retail systems
