Our client is a WA based organisation with geographically dispersed operations. They are currently looking to secure a Senior Project Manager to work permanently with them in their IT function.
The role:
You will lead a diverse range of technology projects from operations to enterprise systems and be regarded as a senior member of the team. You ware accountable for managing all aspects of the IT project lifecycle to ensure the prescribed scope is delivered to the agreed budget, schedule and quality. You will also work closely with the IT PMO and project delivery framework.
Duties will include:
- Leading project teams through the design, documentation and implementation phases of solutions to achieve business objectives
- Develop project plans from business, technical and functional requirements - including project approval submissions
- Update and engage directly with senior management including the CIO and members of the Executive, and lead steering committees relevant to larger projects
- Ensure capacity planning is performed for all project deliverables
- Ensure project team members remain aligned with project goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with standards, policies and processes to maintain consistency and integrity
Skills and Experience:
- A tertiary qualification or a diploma in the field of technology, computer science, business or related discipline.
- PM Certification (PMBOK/Prince2 ) is desirable
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Sound knowledge of formal project management methodologies
- Experience managing external suppliers of technical services and resources
- Experience managing enterprise-wide software implementation projects
- Experience in delivering successful IT projects, ideally within the mining and resources sector
