About the Role
Our client is hiring for a Senior Full Stack Developer (MERN OR MEAN Stack) to join their development team.
Their SaaS platform has been organically growing over the past few years and is now ready for some big changes. They are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to take ownership and help them scale their platform to handle their current rapid growth. This is a hands-on role and you will be expected to spend the majority of your time on the tools and the remainder helping to scale their architecture, product and team.
As they are still a small team in a fast-growing company, this is a great opportunity to join them and play a key role in defining the direction and technical strategy of their product while they continue to grow.
This is a Remote Full-time position to be based in Australia (NSW preferred location). Australian Working Rights are required for job applications to be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing high-quality re-usable code in an Agile framework.
- Participating in peer code reviews and testing.
- Champion iterative, continuous refining approach to architecture improvements.
- Test and iterate your implementations.
- Support and maintenance of their production environments.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
- Take smart risks and champion new ideas.
- Be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree qualification in IT, Software Engineering or a related field is desirable.
- 7+ years' experience in the IT industry, with real world, demonstrable experience building complex applications across Tech Startup companies (preferred).
- Solid skills across the full tech stack with an interest in developing both backend and frontend software (MERN or MEAN Stack a must)
- Strong experience working in Angular, AngularJS, or ReactJS, and Node.js.
- Working knowledge with NoSQL stores. They use MongoDB.
- Experience with software development best practices, such as unit testing, code review and CI/CD.
- Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements, providing consultation and technical guidance.
- Be willing to mentor and help teammates, share knowledge and experience with them, and learn from them.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and deliver.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence where needed.
Desirable, but not essential:
- Hands-on experience building and managing infrastructure deployed in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- DevOps - Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, and Containers.
- Experience with RESTful APIs.
