The primary duties of the role include:
We are looking for an individual to drive the successful delivery of the service, ensuring a consistent high quality of planning, delivery, and reporting across the service.
The ideal candidate for this role will have worked within a Gateway Review unit/assurance function, or have significant experience managing/coordinating an assurance service or managing projects within a complex project delivery environment.
The successful candidate will have:
- A common-sense approach to service delivery with an ability to prioritise time critical actions
- An understanding of the value of reviews and working well with key stakeholders to optimise each review
- Significant experience in project delivery and/or working within a complex project environment.
- Knowledge of Project, Program and Portfolio Management practices
- Ability to apply strategic thinking and planning principles to ensure high quality consistent planning processes
- Knowledge of Gateway Review principles
- Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders utilising an internal consultancy approach.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to tailor to a senior executive audience.
- Ability to analyse large volumes of information to identify risks, thematic learnings, and related recommendations for organisational continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking robust independent assurance reviews to recognise at-risk projects/programs/portfolios will be highly regarded.
This role is not a compliance auditing role but an independent assurance review role that supports successful local and organisational outcomes through high value review activities.
Desirable:
- Past experience in similar role, certifications relating to assurance reviews and project delivery methodologies and frameworks
