Our client is seeking SAP Functional Analyst HR Payroll to provide SAP functional skills in SAP payroll. This includes all aspects of the payroll processing function including support of the HR Payroll Department during the weekly payroll processing cycles, research and configuration for federal, state and local payroll taxes, configuration of payroll deductions

Primary Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Experienced SAP Payroll consultant to Provide primary support and working on minor enhancement changes for the SAP Payroll module
  • This includes all aspects of the payroll processing function including support of the HR Payroll Department during the weekly payroll processing cycles , research and configuration for federal, state and local payroll taxes, configuration of payroll deductions (for benefits, union related items, court mandated items, etc.), on boarding and off boarding of employees for acquisitions and divestitures, year-end processing and touch points with other SAP modules that impact payroll (Time, Accounts Payable, Finance, and others).
  • Provide guidance and direction to the outsourced support provider when required and work with other support teams to ensure the successful delivery of support services globally.
  • Hands on configuration changes along with Unit testing/SIT on service requests related to SAP Payroll
  • Oversee vendor performance and Service Level Management (incident, change, and problem) from an operational perspective, with a focus on standardisation of processes, controls and metrics.
  • Apply functional SAP and business process experience to assist with analysis and resolution of Production break/fix type incident of SAP Payroll
  • Ensure all changes made to the ERP have been adequately tested and end user impacts have been identified before changes are migrated to Production - review and approve all changes being made to the ERP.
  • Manage Critical & High Priority (P1/P2) incidents affecting the business, including customer engagement, escalations and critical incident management.
  • Ensure all processes & standards are followed in the day to day delivery of support services - referencing the ITIL methodology.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities for support delivery and operations, including expansion of the Support Service Catalogue (for minor, low risk & repeatable changes).
  • Manage & support the relationship between IS&T, the outsource partner and any 3rd party Software as a Service (SaaS) vendors, ensuring successful application of the agreed Support Model.
  • Work collaboratively across IS&T Operations to support a customer focused and efficient service delivery culture
  • Expected to work in Agile Environment contributing to the success of ERP Platform Strategy.
  • Develop Business Requirements specifications.
  • Develop Business Blueprint & functional requirements specifications.
  • Plan, execute & manage Unit & System Test including development of test scripts, test schedule & test execution.
  • UAT (User Acceptance Test) support to clients (including test script development, test execution planning & test execution).
  • Configuration design (Personnel Admin, Time Management, Payroll)
