Suits a BW & HANA Technical Architect or a Senior SAP BW/HANA Developer looking to move into a more design/architect role.
Responsible for:
- Providing expertise and advice on potential enterprise data warehouse solutions and designs that are pragmatic, robust and supportable
- Reviewing developer designs and sometimes designing solutions for an enterprise data warehouse built using SAP BW and SAP HANA
- Converting ad hoc and proof of concept solutions/models into a production ready solution in SAP BW and SAP HANA
- Some hands on BW/HANA development work on projects
- Providing high level effort estimates for solutions
- Staying updated with the latest BI and Information Management technology, product offerings, trends and ensuring the organisation's strategy and roadmap is aligned
- Working collaboratively with other BI and Information Management specialists to mentor and enhance knowledge & capability across delivery and support teams
Required skills and experience
- Proven hands on experience with SAP BW
- Proven hands on experience with SAP HANA
- Strong SQL Scripting skills
- Proven experience with design and architecture of enterprise wide Data Warehouse environments
- Proven experience with data modelling at a conceptual and physical level
- Proven experience with formulating governance standards and guidelines around design/development of solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience leading a team in end-to-end development and design within SAP BW/HANA environments is desirable
- Experience with BODS, Information Steward, BI4, Tableau, UI5 is desirable
- Strong ABAP Programming skills are desirable
