We are seeking to engage two driven and knowledgeable Project Managers on the behalf of our Federal Government Client located in Canberra. One of the roles requires a Project Manager who is experienced in the delivery of bespoke development projects and the other role requires a Project Manager who has experience in cloud and/or vendor delivered projects.
The Project Managers we are seeking will be highly motivated and experienced ICT Project Managers who will have at least 5 years' experience in delivering projects with significant ICT deliverables. It is expected that the successful candidate will have experience in delivering ICT bespoke development (including AGILE delivery experience) and or vendor/cloud delivered projects to production, to time and budget and to the satisfaction of both ICT and the Business Owner. In addition, the selected candidates must be able to demonstrate that they can quickly develop productive working relationships and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Noting that this is not a Project Office oversight role, but a "hands on" project manager role.
To be successful within this role you will have demonstrated experience in:
- Planning projects and delivering to the approved business case, including the scope, quality and benefits
- Directly controlling the project(s) whilst in delivery, including proactive management of risks, issues, budgets, resources, schedules and benefits
- Transitioning the project deliverables into BAU operations both business and ICT
- Providing accurate and timely information about the status of the project
- Building and cultivating productive working relationships with the senior executives, business owners, technical staff and vendors
- Communicating and presenting, both in writing and verbally, to various boards and stakeholders
- Leading a diverse team to a common goal, who maybe geographically dispersed
- The ability to manage contracts and vendor deliverables.
