Our Client:
Our client is a notable not for profit financial institution whose mission is to provide support to disadvantaged demographics with support and seek to offer microfinance programs and products, financial counselling and coaching, family violence support, family and youth programs, playgroups, education programs and community houses.
They are currently in the market for an experienced Business Intelligence Developer with previous experience with PowerBI and Snowflake to work with them initially for 18 Months. You will be working on their largest ICT Integration program. The purpose of your role is to be responsible for application of the specialist knowledge of data query, analysis and report development in the delivery of an enterprise reporting solution built in PowerBI.
About the role
You would be involved in:
- Provide reporting & technical expertise to uplift our capability in data analytics.
- Enable change & improvements by defining business needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholders. This includes eliciting and documenting business and solution requirements, assessing capability, and recommending appropriate solution scope.
- Build PowerBI Data Visualizations & Operational Reports.
- Ensure we can comply with our reporting commitments for our programs.
- Internal reporting to inform our Operations & Service Delivery Teams
- External reporting to funders and partners
- Analyze, profile & create systematic representation of data for management and operations teams' understanding. o Data profiling to understand existing data sets & models.
- Consolidation of multiple disparate data sources for enterprise data warehousing
- Build & update reports in PowerBI & Excel and other systems.
- Gather and synthesize data to develop meaningful stories that demonstrate impact and inform program implementation & performance.
To be successful for the role, you would ideally:
- Demonstrated experience developing dashboards and reports using OLAP, standard reporting suites in source systems & data visualization / Bi tools (PowerBI, Power Query).
- Previous experience working in data projects, designing, delivering, and maintaining data warehouse & BI solutions.
- Proficient with business process modelling and requirements gathering, interpretation & documentation.
- Strong knowledge & experience in data base, relational data base design, data modelling.
- Subject matter expert for reporting who can design & maintain test plans and perform UAT.
