The role
You will build innovative solutions by contributing thought-leading analysis, design, development using agile methods and processes. Influence and introduce processes and practices with the view to deliver rapid yet reliable solutions, promoting DevOps ways of working in order to create great customer experiences for all our users.
Role responsibilities
- Technical design & development - 60%
- Design and code
- Uses technical knowledge to remove roadblocks
- DevOps & automation - 40%
- Automate operational processes using tools like Puppet & Ansible
- Use containerisation technology such as Docker / Rancher / Kubernetes
- Have excellent Linux administration skills
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bamboo / Jenkins
- Knowledge & exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS
Technical Skills
- Java/Spring
- Database - Oracle, DB2, Postgres or similar
- Testing frameworks - Junit, JMeter, Mockito
- GIT (feature branches & pull requests), JIRA, Confluence,
- RESTful web services using JSON
- CI/CD experience, Bamboo
- BDD/TDD
- Drive continuous improvement
- Ansible/Puppet
- Docker
- Rancher/Kubernetes
