The role:
- Act as contact for any Environmental, Health & Safety activities within the project including:
- Supporting the management representatives and health and safety representatives to execute the safety management system and provide guidance and an escalation path for safety initiatives and issues.
- Conducting regular meetings with the project and our subcontractors to discuss and action safety initiatives and issues;
- Defining, monitoring and reporting Co-ordinator and lag indicator metrics to the project
- Facilitating the reporting of health and safety incidents and hazards Representing the project as Subject Matter Experts for all safety issues; and
- Ensure all policies and management practices align with the agreed standards, i.e. ISO 14001 and ISO 4801 standards.
- Work to an already defined framework
The candidate:
- Safety Audit experience
- Can keep sub contactors accountable
- Experienced in constriction safety
- Ok to travel in NSW with full company car provided
- Potential qualifications in a related field
- Telco experience around new or proposed sites ideal but not essential
- Being able to demonstrate experience in developing and improving Workplace (WHSMS) frameworks
