Business Analyst - multiple roles

Initial contract till End of Financial Year + up to 3 years extensions

Our client is seeking three Business Analysts who are required to perform discovery and analysis to support the Document Management System (DMS) Replacement, Correspondence Management and SharePoint to the Cloud Projects.

Position A

Experience across enterprise systems and online/web systems is required from a BA perspective. Business process mapping will occur, functional requirements specifications/user stories to be written. The BA will work closely with business SMEs and technical resources (solution architecture, tech lead, developers).The Business Analyst will document current state process, analyse business pain points and develop an optimised future state process that aligns with the business requirements.

Position B

The DMS Replacement and Correspondence Management Solution Projects are in the early stages of preliminary evaluation for a gated submission to the Information and Systems Committee. Two BAs will support documenting the preliminary business case to develop the Project Brief and other project artefacts.

Position C

The SharePoint to the Cloud Project is progressing towards submitting full documentation for a gated submission for contract award. One BA is required to assist with discovery and analysis to progress developing a full business case and project initiation document.

These roles will undertake Business Analysis activities and have the following outcomes/accountabilities:

Generic accountabilities:

  • Provide leadership and hands on business analysis skills to ensure the successful delivery of the assigned project deliverables.
  • Successfully complete documents for the business and user functional requirements to the agreed project standard and to schedule.
  • Consult, liaise and participate with clients, stakeholders and end users in relation to all aspects of the assigned project deliverables.
  • Manage the resolution of business-related issues, including the researching of policy, procedures, assessment of impacts, development of options and providing recommendations to project stakeholders.
  • Develop new business proposals, identifying business opportunities, preparing business cases and conducting system analysis.
  • Research, analyse and provide advice to guide the assigned projects.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Demonstrated business analysis abilities, stakeholder management and coordination skills, a strong focus on detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • 5-10+ years demonstrated experience in gathering and completing business requirements and functional requirements for IT applications / solutions.
  • Previous experience performing the gap analysis between use cases and functional requirements against new solution capabilities.
  • Demonstrated analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, as well as a proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members.
  • Demonstrated skills in SharePoint, Visio and Excel.

Highly Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous experience in implementing and/or the migration of content to SharePoint Online in a large, complex environment.
  • Previous experience in forms and/or workflow solutions.
  • Previous experience in Information Management Projects.
