The Business Analyst with strong background in SAP will be responsible for evaluating and capturing requirements around how the solution should work based on role-based access, and application security leveraging SAP within the IPOS solution. The position works with both internal and external vendors, the architecture and SAP Teams. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Role they will perform)
- Capture, document and analyse current state security model based on organizational structure, role mapping, identity management including SAP functions.
- Document current processes and roles in SAP system leveraged by existing systems (Upstream and downstream).
- Work with existing team to document existing security model as a requirement input into the COTS package security model.
- Work with the IPOS vendor to perform an assessment of the current state vs proposed state and produce a GAP analysis report.
- Capture IPOS requirements and ensure requirements traceability to the solution and user stories.
- Work with solution architect to capture and document current Role based mapping leveraging SAP.
- Work with solution architect to compare roles against COTS package.
- Document all upstream and downstream systems impacted by changes to architecture.
- Identify GAPS of proposed COTS package against industry defined Role based access controls.
- Ability to compare COTS based application against role mapping held within SAP and identify potential GAPS or issues with approach.
- Ability to map requirements across COTS package and SAP information.
- Consult with internal staff at all levels to develop and maintain comprehensive and accurate technical documentation and models for new and modified applications.
- Ability to articulate complex positions to senior stakeholders in business-friendly language.
- Research and present information sessions to Business Stakeholders, DTI & PP&G staff as required;
SELECTION CRITERIA (To be successful in this role, the candidate will have)
- Proven extensive experience as a SAP Functional analyst gained across a number of larger organisations (>5,000 users).
- Aptitude to formulate and articulate role definitions between COTS packages.
- Good understanding of SAP application security implementation methodologies, role-based access controls.
- Advanced knowledge of defining and implementing Segregation of Duties(SoD)
- Knowledgeable of different user and role types, SAP Authorization Concept, Roles or Activity Groups, and User Administration on different SAP Platform. Additional Knowledge of SAP Security model , role based access control , authorisation objects will be a plus.
- Experienced in design and development of SAP security roles, GRC & IDM.
- Hands on experience with mapping of roles & alignment of Job profiles.
- Hands on functional knowledge of SAP organisation structures (Org hierarchies and master data objects & Attributes)
- Proven experience of translating organization requirements to COTS packages.
- Worked with inhouse and outsourced vendors to deliver an implementable role based authorisation model.
- Can demonstrate experience in achieving organization wide service outcomes.
- Demonstrated capability of having implemented appropriate security model leveraging SAP for COTS based packages.
- Demonstrated organisational, time management and prioritising skills.
- Demonstrated superior communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Highly developed computer literacy, particularly in the area of business productivity products - Microsoft Word, Project, Excel and PowerPoint etc.
