Our Federal Government Client is seeking an Application Service Desk Analyst.

This is a long-term contract role until 30 June 2021 with 12 months extension options, located at our Client's Canberra City location.

As the selected candidate, you will:

  • Provide IT support to internal employees via telephone, email or service desk tickets
  • Good troubleshooting and problem solving experience
  • Handle triage and troubleshoot faults and service requests, perform first in fix and engage the right resolver groups
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Communicate courteously and effectively with non-IT and IT specialists to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Manage and monitor team responses for jobs assigned to queues
  • Manage and assist staff when resolving and/or providing workarounds to requests as directed

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good troubleshooting and problem solving experience
  • Ability to set goals, priorities and time manage
  • Experience with managing and triaging service requests
  • Engaging with 2nd level support staff to resolve incidents

It is desirable if you have:

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with IT Service desk tools
  • ITIL v3 foundation

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens who currently possess Federal Government Security Clearances.
