Our client has an established presence within the Training and Vocational Education industry. They are currently on the look out for a Senior Database Engineer for an initial 6-month contract.
About the role
In this role, you would be responsible for the administration and management of their Database systems to ensure the efficient and effective access to the structured data.
You would be involved in:
- Design, build and deploy high availability, robust, resilient and supportable database solutions to support large volumes of data transactions and optimise the end-to-end user experience.
- Provide up to Level 3 support to team members and escalate unresolved system issues to appropriate vendors to ensure minimal system and users' impacts.
- Design, build and deploy high availability, robust, resilient and supportable database solutions to support large volumes of data transactions and optimise the end to end user experience.
- Help to monitor, patch, and troubleshoot Education software packages. Raise Oracle support CR and vendor communications.
To be successful for the role, you would ideally:
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and supporting database services
- Experience in Cloud Oracle OCI, SQL Azure
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated database design and development skills
- Prior Experience working in Government or enterprise IT preferred
