The role:

The role involves leading DevOps initiatives, optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring seamless software delivery through CI/CD pipelines and containerization. Emphasis on solution design, automation, security, and compliance in a dynamic mining environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Innovative Solution Crafting: Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to conceptualize and design DevOps solutions.
  • Streamlined Infrastructure Automation: Engineer and deploy automation tools to streamline infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
  • CI/CD Enhancement: Spearhead the enhancement and optimization of CI/CD pipelines for swift and dependable software delivery.
  • Containerization Expertise: Implement cutting-edge containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for agile and scalable applications.
  • Robust Monitoring and Security: Establish robust monitoring systems and security measures to ensure system stability and compliance.

Key experience:

  • Proficiency in automation/configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Strong scripting acumen in Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
  • Demonstrated expertise with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.
  • Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Desirable experience:

  • Familiarity with concepts and technologies surrounding Edge Computing.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols.
