Senior Network Architect

  • Initial 12 months contract with possible extension
  • Work with a global mining client on a greenfield project
  • Perth CBD based position

The Client:

Our client is a global mining client seeking a Senior Network Architect to design a greenfield mine campsite from scratch and experience setting up the network and security infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust network infrastructure using Cisco, Palo Alto, and Aruba technologies.
  • Deploy high-performance Wi-Fi networks in challenging terrains, ensuring seamless connectivity.
  • Set up CCTV systems, including microwave links and card reader setups, enhancing campsite security and optimising server configurations for seamless integration with networking and security systems.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with campsite construction plans.
  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation of network and security setups.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations for mine site networks.

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing network solutions for mining clients.
  • Proficiency in Cisco, Palo Alto, and Aruba networking technologies, specifically tailored for mining industry applications.
  • Expertise in deploying Wi-Fi networks, CCTV systems, microwave links, and card reader setups for mining operations.
  • Familiarity with server configurations, virtualization, and storage solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
