Senior Information Systems Officer

Location: 145-157 Wayne Goss Drive, Berrinba QLD 4117 (near Browns Plains)

Initial engagement until 30th June 2024 + possible extensions

About the role

We are excited to partner with a large established state government client based in Browns Plains (Berrinba) who are seeking an Information Systems Officer. This would be a fantastic opportunity for any level 1/2 Systems Officers who are looking at taking the next step in their career.


Responsibilities

  • Research, document and design computer users' requirements and later tests the validity and logic of programs and either makes or negotiates amendments, prepares reports, manuals and documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of system software for use by computer equipment suppliers, systems designers, programmers and computer operators.
  • Develop and apply project management skills and knowledge to successfully scope, plan, deliver and evaluate medium sized projects or a number of small, often related projects under a larger Information Systems project or strategy
  • Coordinate both technical and non-technical staff in the support, maintenance and development of information systems including front-end applications and databases.
  • Coordinate the implementation of ICT-related projects such as software development, business process reviews and IT infrastructure upgrades, ensuring that the deliverables meet the expectations of the business and are consistent with the client.
  • Prioritise the workloads of staff allocated to support the Program's systems team in order to deliver required outcomes to business to the required standard in the agreed timeframe.
  • Identify issues, handle them pro-actively and communicate business information systems management issues effectively to senior management and staff.

The A06 Senior Information Systems Officer role requirements and expectations are Monday to Friday 36.25 hrs per week.
