Description:
* A Platform Engineer position within the Operation System Support (OSS) group.
* This position is focused on providing end to end system analysis, management and support of Operational Support Systems (OSS) in a 24x7 environment with accountability for system availability, performance, and usability on a day-to-day basis, along with performing complex and in depth analysis and investigation of system and network related problems.

Responsibilities:
* L2 support for Microfocus Service Manager, Ericsson Core vENM, SURE (Service Unified Resource Engine) and InfoVista (Tomcat based application).
* Automation using Ansible Playbook.
* DB performance tuning by analyzing the execution plan of the database to identify the missing index to be added. Index rebuilding and reorganizing.
* Checking Catalina logs, access logs and TCP dumps to troubleshoot the issues which impacted external customer.

Essential Experience:
* 3-5+ years of Cloud/OSS support experience for enterprise Telecom organisations.
* Hands on experience on configuring the Storages (SUN, IBM, Huawei-Symantec and Dell/EMC), Routers and Switches (Huawei-3Com), Fibre Channel Switches (Brocade).
* Deep knowledge on the end-to-end IT support which covers Server hardware, Storage, Virtualization (VMWare and OpenStack), OS (Linux, Solaris, AIX and Windows), DB (Oracle and SQL Server), application and scripting.
