Network Engineer
3 months contract role with a government client
Based in Perth CBD
Experience in LAN, WAN, MAN, Data Centre network technologies.
We are looking for a Network Engineer for a 3-month contract role with our government client.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support LAN, WAN, MAN, and Data Centre network infrastructures.
- Utilize cloud networking principles and technologies to design and deploy scalable and secure cloud network solutions.
- Configure and manage network firewalls, VPNs, and DMZs to protect enterprise assets and ensure secure remote access.
- Maintain and optimize network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network integration and support for various applications and services.
Skills:
- Proven expertise in Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), and Data Centre network technologies.
- Extensive experience in cloud networking concepts and implementation.
- Skilled in configuring and managing network firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and demilitarized zone (DMZ) setups.
Additional Requirements:
Experience in one or more of the following areas is required:
- Cisco Wireless, Switching, and Routing: Expertise in Cisco hardware and software solutions, including deployment and management.
- Broadcom Switching Hardware: Proficient in configuring and maintaining Broadcom switching hardware.
- Cisco Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA): Hands-on experience with Cisco AAA software for secure network access control.
- Cisco ASA and Check Point Firewalls: Skilled in deploying and managing Cisco ASA and Check Point firewalls for robust network security.
- Azure and AWS Networking: Practical knowledge of Azure and Amazon Web Services networking, including VPCs, subnets, and security configurations.
