Mining Systems OT Reliability Specialist

The role:

As an Operational Technologist in Mining Systems, you will drive the reliability of critical OT systems, optimize safety measures, and contribute to achieving production targets for a global mining leader.

Responsibilities:

As a key member of the team, reporting to the Site Supervisor Mining Systems, your responsibilities will include:

  • Safety Leadership: Demonstrate visible leadership in maintaining Zero Harm, endorsing quality Risk Assessments, and ensuring Critical Control Verification.
  • Operational Support: Develop and maintain a robust operational network with maintenance and production teams, providing crucial Technology Function support for OT.
  • Maintenance Activities: Execute logical maintenance activities to ensure the reliability of critical OT systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Mobile Equipment and Infrastructure maintenance teams, providing configuration or programming support for technology devices.
  • Change Management: Collaborate with Perth-based Technology teams to assess and implement Technology Changes, offering a site perspective and understanding.
  • Problem Solving: Participate in problem and Root Cause Analysis investigations for technology incidents.
  • Technical Input: Provide technical input into the creation of maintenance strategies and support the delivery of new equipment through configuration assistance.





Key experience:

  • A Trade/Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Communications/Electronics/Industrial Electrical.
  • Licenses or certificates, such as ACMA Open Cabling Licence with F, O, C Endorsements or Certificate III in Telecommunications, Cisco CCNA, would be favorable.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining and supporting IT/OT technology, with expertise in systems like Fleet Management Systems (MineStar & Modular), WIFI, LTE & WTS Networks, Digital Radio Systems, and Onboard Safety Systems (CAS & DSS).
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and SAP tools.
