Our Federal Government Client is seeking for a Microsoft 365 Engineer.

The M365 Engineer will be responsible for configuring and implementing the M365 stack for the Client department. The Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining the Client's critical Azure and M365 environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience.

Primary Technologies: Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Applications Packager, Rapid 7, Broadcom Data Centre Security Engineer.

Key Tasks/Duties/Requirements

  • Manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of the Client's Azure and M365 environments.
  • Perform user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access management in M365.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for both Azure and M365.
  • Provide technical support to users.
  • Document configurations and procedures for future reference.

Requirements

Mandatory Criteria

  • Minimum 3 + years knowledge and experience implementing Essential Eight and the applicable Information Security Manual controls to achieve Maturity Level One in a complex ICT Environment, and/or Significant knowledge and experience implementing the Microsoft 365 product suite or similar digital transformation projects in a complex ICT Environment.

  • Minimum 3 + year's experience and knowledge in delivering Cyber Security and assurance projects, including managing project scope, schedule, budget constraints and providing support to clear issues blocking delivery.

Weighted Criteria

  • Experience collaborating with Microsoft support or other vendors for escalations and assistance with critical problems.
  • Strong understanding of security concepts and how to implement them across server and end user environments.
  • Strong scripting and infrastructure automation background is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge and experience with the entire 365-product suite.
  • Ability to take ownership of a problem and follow it through until completion.
  • Highly developed communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicting priorities with key business stake holders.

The role has an initial 12-month contract with possible 12-month contract extension. The services will be performed by the Specified Personnel on site from the Client's Canberra office.

Candidates must be Australian citizens with active AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
