Field Engineer
- Initial 6 month contract with possible extension
- Working with a global Telecom client
- Work on part of a major rail communication refresh project.
The role:
One of our global telecom clients is looking for a Field Engineer to join their team with a passion for resolving complex technical issues and ensuring the smooth deployment of LTE networks in challenging environments.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical team member to resolve complex problems requiring field
- Lead and train 3rd party contractors for installing, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting LTE Networks in challenging environments.
- Ensure performance levels meet SLA/OLA standards.
- Conduct site testing and acceptance based on test procedures and plans.
- Support escalated deploymentmatters and outage investigations.
- Undertake special assignments to resolve Network Operations issues.
- Demonstrate strong skills in Antenna work, leading Tilts, TMA installations, and troubleshooting using a variety of test devices.
Key experience:
- Hands-on experience in NOKIA 3G or 4G or LTE mobile network roll-outs.
- Understanding of NOKIA's site and delivery processes.
- Ability to work independently and cooperate with subcontractors.
- Travel within Australia may be required.
- Education: Engineer or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering or similar.
