Our Federal Government Client is looking for an Enterprise Computing Cloud Hybrid Specialist (Open to Canberra-based candidates only).

Role Description:

The Enterprise Computing Hybrid Cloud Specialist will provide specialist advice and support to the Enterprise Computing Delivery Lead and is responsible for contributing to the Client's future enterprise computing approach and leading any subsequent approaches to market for these services. The Enterprise Computing Hybrid Cloud Specialist will work as part of a leveraged team of technical, commercial, and service delivery specialists under the direction of the Enterprise Computing Delivery Lead.

The successful Enterprise Computing Hybrid Cloud Specialist applicant will have a strong technical understanding of private and public cloud enterprise computing technologies, practical hands-on technical experience designing or implementing solutions that utilise public and private cloud enterprise computing technologies, and a strong understanding of contemporary development and service delivery frameworks and models.

This includes:

  • Applying their knowledge of the following to various aspects of the program, including but not limited to the development of approach to market requirements for enterprise computing services, evaluating responses, agreeing solutions, and implementing contracted outcomes: how private and public cloud technologies (e.g. servers, storage, networks, security) are integrated to deliver services and solutions to application owners, developers, and end users.
    • how enterprise computing solutions and services can be delivered via private cloud and hyper-scale public cloud provider's (e.g. Microsoft, AWS) technologies and services.
    • contemporary identity and access management services for enterprise computing solutions and services.
    • contemporary development and service delivery frameworks and models such as DevSecOps, SAFe, and Service Integration and Management (SIAM).
  • Cyber Security Essential 8 and how it applies to enterprise computing solutions and services.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as an enterprise computing engineer or solution architect working on private and/or public cloud enterprise computing technologies and services.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing solutions and services utilising hyper-scale public cloud provider's (e.g. Microsoft, AWS) technologies and services.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing ICT outsourcing arrangements, including experience in requirements development, tender evaluation, contract negotiation, and service implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing enterprise computing services within Government.
  • Previous experience in working with a wide range of complex and intertwining issues to identify paths to resolution.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to identify gaps in strategy, delivery, and capability, resolve complex issues and seek consensus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate to stakeholders, executive and technical staff. The ability to present information and communicate expectations across conflicting priorities/workloads.

The role has on an initial 12-month contract with two (2) possible 12-month contract extension options. Candidates MUST be located in Canberra, ACT and must be capable of working a minimum of 3 days at their Woden, ACT office.

Candidates must be Australian citizens who hold active AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance.
