This high profile Federal Government Department provides important support to Australians around the country and utilises a variety of key technology functions to do so. The division this role sits in focusses on delivering end-to-end service modernisation and digitisation to the Department.


About the role
The End User Engineer is responsible for the design, build, implement and operations of end user technology solutions. As you will be working in a geographically dispersed team, they will have strong capabilities in self-managing work and collaborating with people remotely, remaining connected to your team.

This role has is a 12 month initial contract with 2 x 12 month extension opportunities for the duration of the 3 year project.

*** This position can be carried out in Melbourne OR Sydney CBD, with flexible WFH options ***


Responsibilities

  • Manage and assist in the end user escalated incidents and requests., ensuring high level of customer service and satisfaction in end user solutions.
  • Lead and collaborate in technology projects, including Windows Client version migrations, new M365 functionality and security toolsets.

The successful candidate will possess:

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or relevant industry certifications/ experience (ITIL/Microsoft 365/Azure)
  • 5+ years' experience in IT engineering, design/build and IT end-user support.
  • Practical knowledge of accountable technologies and implementation / operational support strategies

Desirable:

  • Experience in SOE migration projects, software deployment, mobile device management
