Data Engineer:
- 3 months initial contract with possible extension
- Based in Perth CBD
- Skills: Cosmos DB, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Event Hubs, and Azure Data Lake Storage
Our client is looking for a Data Engineer for an initial 3-month contract with a possible extension.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the application of data integration activities to support improved business efficiency.
- Perform data integration, analysis, design and modelling, migration, and other data science-related activities.
- Provide oversight and support for the daily data transfers to the data warehouse.
- Designs and builds data pipelines for integrated systems.
- Provide technical guidance and Business Intelligence support.
- Manage the Azure Data factory Datawarehouse.
Skills:
Database Management:
- Proficient in both SQL and NoSQL databases, with a focus on data modeling and optimization.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems.
API Integration:
- Strong understanding and practical experience in working with REST APIs.
- Ability to integrate and leverage external APIs to enhance data processing capabilities.
Data Transformation:
- Expertise in Power Query for data transformation and manipulation.
- Proven ability to clean, structure, and transform raw data into meaningful insights.
Azure Cloud Services:
- Hands-on experience with Cosmos DB, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Event Hubs, and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen 2.
- Ability to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines on Azure.
