Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Cyber Technical Analyst.

This is a long-term contract role for 12 months with the potential for extension, located in Canberra. While the position is Canberra-based, flexibility can be provided for the individual to work from home 1 to 2 days a week.

As the selected candidate, you will:

  • Review and provide guidance on application and system integration designs related to PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight.
  • Implement Essential Eight in other Government agencies, providing technical uplift and guidance to various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and services, particularly in technical assessments.

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing and providing guidance on application and system integration designs related to PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight.
  • Proven track record of implementing Essential Eight in other Government agencies, including technical uplift and stakeholder guidance.
  • Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and services, specifically in technical assessments.

It is desirable if you have:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to work under pressure with limited supervision to produce high-quality outcomes.
  • Awareness of security risks and the ability to anticipate and communicate their impacts.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and issue resolution skills.
  • Ability to articulate and document technical security artifacts.

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance.
