About the role

The Business Applications Specialist is responsible for the successful operation and support of business applications used by the organisation across all locations.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business partners to deliver increased value through the implementation of new features and systems, ensuring regular updates are maintained across the entire portfolio of business applications
  • Oversee support processes for business applications and ensure documentation and knowledge articles are available for technical teams and users across the organisation
  • Work closely with business partners to implement and support value-add technology and application solutions across the organisation
  • Develop and manage application portfolios for each business unit and develop application service level agreements for the user community within the organisation
  • Perform regular reviews of software solutions, to ensure they meet the changing needs of the business

Skills and experience

Demonstrated experience in -

  • Application support leadership and delivery
  • Application solution architecture
  • Maintain application and system documentation
  • Architecting and designing solutions within the context of an SAP / ERP environment with other integrated
  • Ability to proactively anticipate any favourable or unfavourable impacts to the business of the area under his/her responsibility and provide feedback to key decision-makers
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence and data analytics systems for integration needs
