Our Federal Government Client is seeking an Application Architect.
This is a long-term contract role with an initial contract duration until 31 December 2024, with an extension term of 12 months, located at our client's office in Canberra.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Actively contribute to the review, development, and/or sustainment of the agency's application governance artefacts, including application strategies, architectures, technology roadmaps, policies, and practices.
- Undertake targeted review of existing application deployments both on-premise and in-cloud, including assessment of documentation, sustainability, and alignment with agency application governance.
- Document identified issues, risks, and opportunities, together with associated actionable recommendations based on review findings.
- Working directly with IT, business areas, and application development teams, provide insight and assistance with the scoping, costing, planning, and delivery of new application services.
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Demonstrated experience working as an Application (Solutions) Architect working in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Demonstrated experience assisting Federal Government build and operate applications and services in on-premises, full cloud, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Deep knowledge and experience with Microsoft development practices,platforms,and technologies,including:
- Office 365 platforms
- SharePoint
- Dynamics 365
- Azure DevOps
It is desirable if you have:
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure Dev Ops.
- Experience with agile working methodologies, pipeline management, service integrations, repository management, and branching.
- A flexible skillset and a willingness to learn new and merging technologies with an enterprise focus.
- A willingness to undergo security vetting at the Negative Vetting NV1 level.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
