Security Advisor will manage the customer relationship to achieve security deliverables as well as highlighting potential Security issues and create documentation for clients, Security service reports & manage security incidents to resolution. This is not a hands-on role. It is a conceptual role. Being a customer facing role you will attend on-site customer meetings
Responsibilities:
- Investigate, assess and report on the development or spread of potential information security threats and vulnerabilities that may impact Customer technical infrastructure SLAs.
- Prepare and review documentation related to services, procedures or clients as required
- Perform security evaluations of changes as the Security stakeholder of the MS ITIL Change Management process
- Assist as part of the Incident and Problem Management team, the resolution of security incidents.
- As the MS Security Services representative, attend regular security meetings with assigned client security and/or IT Operations staff
- Prepare and compile the contracted Security Services reports for assigned clients
- Provide support for Customer Security SLA Compliance reviews within Competency Teams in line with the approved Customer timetable
Experience:
- In depth knowledge of security related Network and System infrastructures gained over several years with a large faceted organisation, preferably IT Outsourcing, Government, or other organisation running mission-critical systems
- A couple of years' experience in a customer facing role providing ISM or advisory services
- Demonstrate understanding of IT Security Management principles and delivery within an ITIL-based operational framework
- Exposure to, and understanding of the role of, key information security standards: PSM+ACSI-33/ISM, AS/NZS27001+AS/NZS27002, PCI-DSS, or other equivalent documents
Qualifications
- University Degree or Industry Qualifications, or Demonstrable Expertise and Experience in a similar role.
- Generalist certifications (CISSP, CISA, SANS etc.) and vendor certifications (Cisco, Fortinet or CA) are valued
