Our client is one of the largest food production industries in Australia, providing products and services to millions of customers. They need to manage the security of data & networks to ensure that it is being continually monitored using technologies such as Sophos & Firewall.
About the Role:
You will work within the network team and be responsible for managing and strengthening the design of the IT architecture and ensure the infrastructure remains' current. Your role will be to protect the different types of sensitive data held at multiple places. Understand the network threats and protect the data across the entire network, right down to individual devices.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and contribute to IT architecture design and reviews to ensure the infrastructure (Such as Patching, Network LAN and WAN, Firewall, Telephony, Licensing, Security, Cloud and Backup services) remain current, effective and supports critical business activities. This is a very hands-on role.
- Manage relevant IT vendors to ensure IT services and infrastructure management.
- Provide technical and user advice and support for desktop, server and networking issues and queries
- Manage the security of the data & networks, ensure that it is being continually monitored using technologies such as Sophos & Firewall.
Skills and Experience:
- Sound experience with networking & technologies
- Formal tertiary qualifications in an IT related field or 3+ years equivalent experience
- Minimum 5+ years' experience leading an IT Infrastructure team or similar
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across various teams and levels of management
- Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity risk, technical implementation and support of infrastructure technologies and processes in a distributed, international enterprise
- Demonstrated experience in relevant core technologies such as MS Windows/Office 365, Cloud Services, MS Windows Server, Citrix MS Active Directory, virtualisation, wide area, and local area networking (WAN/LAN), Wi-Fi, firewall/security appliances, security software and telephony
