As the selected candidate, you will:
- Cluster Management: Install, configure, and maintain Hadoop ecosystems (HDFS, YARN, Hive, HBase, Nifi and Spark) clusters across diverse environments.
- Hands-on experience with open-source technologies such as Apache Kafka, Zookeeper, Prometheus, Grafana and Airflow.
- Experience with Capacity planning and resource monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with major and minor version upgrades of various tools in Big data ecosystems.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain Shell scripts (Bash) to automate routine administrative tasks.
- Security & Compliance: Implement security protocols using Kerberos, Ranger, or LDAP; manage firewalls and user permissions to safeguard sensitive data.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor cluster health and optimise system performance to ensure high availability and fast query response times.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across the distributed environment.
