About the Opportunity
A major Australian bank is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Reporting Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of the organisation’s Annual Financial Report (AFR). Sitting within the Finance division, this role plays a critical part in coordinating Group Results, external reporting requirements and high‑level executive deliverables.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full project lifecycle for the Group’s Annual Financial Report (AFR) from scoping through to final publication.
  • Develop and manage the AFR project plan, including scope, timelines, milestones and workstream deliverables.
  • Ensure all AFR outputs meet required quality, compliance and regulatory reporting standards.
  • Oversee project governance including consolidated timetables, risk/issue management and stakeholder communication.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders and external design/print partners, ensuring alignment and timely delivery.
  • Manage interdependencies and risks across workstreams, and own the full verification and sign‑off process with senior management and the Board.
 
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience delivering an Annual Financial Report (AFR), Annual Report, or equivalent statutory reporting document for a listed company.
  • Previous experience working within the Australian banking sector, ideally in Group Finance, External Reporting, Financial Reporting or similar regulated environments.
  • Strong project management background specifically within financial reporting, external reporting or group results teams.
  • Prior experience coordinating Board‑level and Executive‑level sign‑off cycles, including version control, verification, governance artefacts and detailed review processes.
